Butler University’s Lacy School of Business is seeking applications for a one-semester, Lecturer position in Economics to begin in January 2023. We are especially interested in applicants with experience in teaching Principles of Microeconomics and/or Principles of Macroeconomics. Applicants must either have a Master in Economics, MBA, or Master Degree in a related field.

Applications should include a letter of interest, curriculum vitae, evidence of teaching experience and effectiveness, statement of experience with and commitment to teaching a diverse student body, and the contact information of three current references. We seek candidates whose previous work and life experiences prepare them to contribute to our commitment to engagement and inclusion of culturally diverse students, faculty and staff. Successful candidates will have a demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity, inclusion and intercultural development in a work environment and be eager to contribute to inclusion efforts on campus. Additionally, successful candidates will share our belief that individual faculty members can make a difference in the life of a student, that creativity and risk-taking are important facets of teaching and learning.

Butler University is a private, residential university located on a beautiful 300-acre campus about 10 minutes north of downtown Indianapolis, the twelfth largest city in the United States. The Lacy School of Business enrolls about 1,100 full-time undergraduates. It has a part-time MBA program, a Master of Professional Accounting (MPAcc) program, a Master in Management program, a Master of Science in Risk and Insurance program, and is accredited by AACSB-International. The Lacy School of Business is housed in Dugan Hall, which was recently opened in Fall 2019.
