Responsibilities

The Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Specialist will provide administrative and programmatic support to the EDI Director/COO in the development and implementation of programs and services that promote institutional equity, diversity and inclusion.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop, coordinate and facilitate diversity-related training sessions and workshops, Provide administrative support to the EDI Director/COO Conduct research on specified topics, to include national and international diversity issues, administrative organizational structures, trends, and other issues as assigned.
  • Execute data collection activities on specified equity and inclusion issues.
  • Other EDI duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and two years of experience in human resources or elated field; or a high school diploma/equivalency and six years of experience in human resources or related field. (Note: or a combination of post high school education and human resources experience equal to six years.)

  • Knowledge of and experience in developing and implementing initiatives and programming with specific emphasis on facilitating diversity and inclusion learning.
  • Familiar with and adept in the principles and practices of equal opportunity and compliance.
  • Experience with diversity, equity, and inclusion programs.
  • Experience as a trainer, corporate training specialist, or related position, including the development of content and course material.
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills including ability to facilitate one-on-one, group and on-line training.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and collaborate productively in a team environment.
  • Experience working with diverse populations specific to race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender, ability and/or gender identity.
Preferred

Experience with diversity, equity, and inclusion programs; preferably in a college/university setting. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
