Protected Rights/Title IX Investigator Coastal Carolina University is currently accepting applications for the following position: Protected Rights/Title IX Investigator. Duties will include, but are not limited to: · Collaborates and consults with the Director of Protected Rights/Tile IX Coordinator to conduct prompt, equitable and impartial administrative investigations into complaints including identifying and interviewing parties, identifying, gathering and assessing information/evidence relevant to the investigation, applying relevant policies, and developing analysis in individual cases;· Maintains a high level of confidentiality and develops a comprehensive written report of the investigation of complaints;· Provide training and outreach to campus community;· Manage special projects for the Director of Protected Rights/Title IX Coordinator and Senior Vice President/University Counsel or their designee; and· Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Protected Rights/Title IX Coordinator and Senior Vice President/University Counsel or their designee. Requirements: A bachelor’s degree with two (2) years relevant experience is required. A master’s degree is preferred. Professional experience conducting investigations to include previous experience in a higher education setting or a minimum of two (2) years’ experience obtaining knowledge, skills, and abilities in the areas of student conduct, Title IX, Title VII, EEO and other protected rights, or higher education administration is preferred. Program Coordinator I (AH35/61122740/FTE-S00704P), full-time position with benefits. SC State Pay Band: 05. Salary range: $35,360.00 (minimum) to $50,394.00 (midpoint). Normal work hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree with two (2) years relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s Degree is preferred. Professional experience conducting investigations to include previous experience in higher education setting or a minimum of two (2) years experience obtaining knowledge, skills, and abilities in the areas of student conduct, Title IX, Title VII, EEO and other
protected rights, or higher education administration.

Understanding of issues facing college students; demonstrated knowledge of Title IX, Title VII, EEO and other protected rights, or higher education administration; attention to detail; exceptional oral and written communication skills with the ability to listen well and demonstrate sensitivity and respect for individual needs; sound decision-making skills and ability to exercise independent judgment; excellent customer service skills, with a commitment to work as part of a University-wide community to resolve complaints in a neutral and sensitive manner; demonstrated ability to handle a significant caseload, prioritize and organize work effectively, manage multiple high priorities and deadlines, and maintain detailed records in a fast-paced environment; demonstrated commitment to diversity and success in working with diverse constituencies, (preferably both domestic and international) to support an equitable and an inclusive campus environment; handle highly confidential information and manage crisis in the college/university environment.
