Job Overview

The Global Experience Program Director oversees and administers short-term, credit-bearing global experiences for SFS undergraduate students. Working together with the School of Foreign Service (SFS) Vice Dean for Undergraduate Affairs, the Director maintains a leadership role in strategizing, creating and managing global experiences for SFS students - a core part of the Georgetown SFS experience. The Director is responsible for daily administration of the programs away including flagship Centennial Labs; faculty coordination and curricular integration of program coursework; oversight of registration and billing of Georgetown participants; recruitment and marketing of programs within SFS; program evaluation; design and development of new programs in collaboration with faculty, SFS executive leadership, Office of Global Services (OGS), and other University stakeholders. The Director coordinates emergency response and resolves overseas emergencies in programs in collaboration with OGS and other campus partners, and serves as a consultant and support to faculty-directors abroad in the areas of emergency response, disciplinary actions, dismissals, and other student issues.

Work Interactions and Work Mode Designation

The Global Experience Program Director reports to the Vice Dean for Undergraduate Affairs.

This position has been designated as Hybrid 2 Days. Please note that work mode designations are regularly reviewed in order to meet the evolving needs of the University. Requirements and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in international affairs or education or related discipline. Master's degree preferred. At least 4-5 years of related professional experience is required.

Outstanding interpersonal and written communication skills and a commitment to customer service are expected. Ability to respond quickly to emergencies in programs abroad is required.
