Job Details

St. Norbert College, a thriving, nationally ranked Catholic liberal arts college known for its academic excellence, robust co-curricular engagement, and deep commitment to service, seeks its ninth president. The college is situated on a vibrant, riverside campus in De Pere, Wisconsin, a community contiguous with the city of Green Bay.

St. Norbert is the only college in the world sponsored by the Norbertines, a Catholic order devoted to witnessing a deep experience of community and serving the needs of others. Founded in 1898, St. Norbert builds on the beliefs and practices of an ancient religious order while responding to the current needs of our students and communities.

St. Norbert currently enrolls about 1,900 undergraduate and graduate students, provides a four-year graduation guarantee, and offers 23 NCAA Division III sports. The college’s fundraising has been excellent and includes a recent $30 million transformational gift added to the institution’s endowment, which has grown from $38 million in 1998 to about $170 million. St. Norbert College is consistently ranked by U.S. News & World Report among the top liberal arts colleges in the nation.

The next president will enter St. Norbert College at a unique and important moment in the college’s history. The college seeks an exemplary leader with a thorough understanding of the Catholic and Norbertine traditions, the identity of St. Norbert College, and the challenges and opportunities facing private liberal arts institutions sponsored by a religious order. This person will be a practicing Catholic who is a strategic visionary and thinker, an excellent communicator, and an accomplished fundraiser. The selected candidate will pursue an ambitious agenda to enhance the position of St. Norbert College as one of the preeminent Catholic liberal arts colleges in the nation.

The position profile provides additional information, including the leadership agenda and a full list of desired attributes. It can be viewed here. The position is open until filled. Materials received by November 15, 2022, are assured full consideration.
