Classification Title:Assistant ProfessorJob Description:The Department of Philosophy at the University of Florida, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, invites applications for a full-time, nine-month, tenure-accruing position in Philosophy at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning August 16, 2023.
The area of specialization sought is one (or more) of Metaphysics, Epistemology, Philosophy of Mind, Philosophy of Language.
The successful candidate will be expected to (1) maintain an active research agenda, (2) teach four courses per academic year at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and (3) provide service to the department, the university, and the profession.The department is genuinely committed to creating an environment that affirms diversity across a variety of dimensions, including ability, class, ethnicity/race, and gender identity and expression.
