Job Summary The H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Georgia Tech in Atlanta, Georgia invites applications for the position of Director of the Center for Academics, Success, and Equity (CASE). This is a faculty position in the Academic Professional track (fiscal year (12-month) appointment, rank commensurate with level of experience), and will report to the Associate Dean for Inclusive Excellence and Chief Diversity Officer of the College of Engineering at Georgia Tech.The Center for Academics, Success, and Equity’s vision is to position ISyE as thought leaders for ensuring quality student experiences within ISyE that would have a lasting impact at Georgia Tech and beyond. The Center for Academics, Success, and Equity aims to cultivate an engaging environment for students, faculty, staff, and alumni within ISyE by creating and leading programs that encourage participation in academic growth, professional development, and inclusivity. In addition to academics, CASE focuses on success and equity.Responsibilities Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, leading existing and developing new efforts in the following three areas:- Academics: for example, Tutoring Center, At-Risk Advising, and Peer Mentorship;Success: for example, the mentIEs mentorship program for ISyE students, H. Milton Stewart Ph.D. student teaching fellows program, TA Orientations, and student success workshops;Equity: for example, K-12 outreach, summer camps.
Associate Academic Professional - This is the entry-level rank and normally requires completion of the terminal degree. In exceptional cases, this rank may be used for individuals completing a terminal degree and for a period of two (2) years. If the degree is not conferred, another position appointment is required.
Academic Professional - A terminal degree
- Significant related experience or promotion from the rank of Associate Academic Professional
- The quality of performance and potential for development must be recognized by peers
Senior Academic Professional - A terminal degree
- Evidence of superior performance in the chosen field
- Recognition by peers (whether national, regional, or local)
- Successful and measurable related experience
- Five (5) years or more as an Academic Professional
Principal Academic Professional - A terminal degree
- Evidence of superior performance in the chosen field
- Recognition by peers Successful and measurable related experience supervising others’ work
- Successful and measurable related experience in a position of significant responsibility and authority within program area Demonstrated impact
