As the Curriculum Coordinator, you will support our continued transition to Competency Based Medical Education for Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) programs (Competency by Design). You will play an integral role engaging and communicating with key internal and external partners, managing time-sensitive priorities and providing recommendations to ensure successful implementation across multiple programs. Your proven track record of delivering projects within scope and on time, together with supporting organizations through change, will ensure success for this critical initiative.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for coordinating the implementation of CBD across RCPSC postgraduate medical education training programs within the Faculty of Medicine
  • Leading project initiatives and implementing project plans through critical paths, timelines, milestones, deliverables and reporting as relates to CBD implementation and subsequent program support, all while ensuring each program meets accreditation standards
  • Drafting communication materials, developing and editing project documentation, and preparing status reports for senior leadership, programs and other stakeholders
  • Provides appropriate training to Program Directors, Faculty, learners and support staff during and post implementation
  • Researching, analyzing and recommending solutions to project challenges
  • Coordinating, documenting and participating in multiple committees and project related events
  • Fostering strong working relationships with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum five years of related progressively responsible administrative experience
  • Experience coordinating academic or educational programs, including exposure to residency education and/or competency based education
  • Demonstrated project management experience, including process development, implementation and evaluation
  • Experience in leading the change management process
  • Experience developing project plans, reports and communication materials
  • Experience supporting and coordinating committees and coordinating events
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (MS Project), Adobe Professional, learning management systems and survey tools
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong customer service skills; ability to work effectively with faculty members and other key stakeholders
  • Ability to interpret requirements and develop processes and procedures
  • Ability to collect and analyze data in order to create meaningful reports
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through project analysis and problem solving
  • Ability to bring project to successful completion while recognizing organizational unit sensitivities and culture
  • Ability to foster collaborative relationships and coordinate teams of varying backgrounds while ensuring targets and objectives are met
  • Critical ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment


Assets (Nonessential):

  • Recognized certification in project management
  • Project management experience in a medical school, teaching hospital or comparable environment
  • Experience working with Quercus , Tableau and Kutools
