Responsibilities

Manages, plans and administers all administrative operations of a school, OR a medium to large academic department, OR several small departments within a college, or a medium to large non-academic department.
    Assess, implement, and manage academic and student experience for the Full-Time MBA program based upon a wide-ranging understanding of graduate business educational programs, student development, academic advising, and best practices.

Accomplishes activities through the coordination of staff.
    Evaluates the effectiveness of the student services function and makes changes to the program to provide better service to students, faculty, staff, and management. Lead strategic planning efforts for the program. Identifies and pursues funding opportunities and revenue streams, develops strategic direction and plans to achieve future objectives. Participates in long-range planning and analyses to identify new program options that contribute to revenue growth. Participates in advanced program budgeting and accounting processes to support financial infrastructure of program. Assesses program's effectiveness and recommends changes to program's content, policies and procedures accordingly. Develops ideas for improvement, secures resources and support, and oversees implementation and achievement of stated goals.

Prepares short- and long-range planning for administrative services operations and improvements to processes.

Establishes and recommends change to policies which affect the assigned unit(s).

Develops and monitors operational and budget processes, staff FTE, finance, human resources and space planning.
    Manage academic and student experience team. Makes decisions on performance, salary actions, hiring decisions and other human resources related issues of managed staff. Recognizes issues that have campus impact or future implications and advises the managed employees accordingly. Oversees the program budgeting and accounting processes to support financial infrastructure of program. Works with staff to develop financial forecasts and budgets and to manage spending to budget. Works with Admissions staff to implement recruiting and revenue strategies, insuring quality of students and long-term health of the programs. Works collaboratively across various departments, managers, and outside constituencies to ensure interdisciplinary collaboration, in particular with the Evening & Weekend MBA program and all Haas lifecycle partners.

Represents department on business affairs to the institution community/professional development.

Required Qualifications
    Broad knowledge of the organization's processes, protocols and procedures with a focus on budget, account and fund management and/or personnel management under labor contract(s) and personnel policy. Broad knowledge of financial analysis and reporting techniques; human resources and risk management planning; and/or accounting and payroll. Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to influence/persuade all levels of staff. Skills in organization and customer service to effectively manage multiple important priorities. Proven ability to organize department work functions in an efficient and effective manner. Broad knowledge of and/or can quickly learn common organization-specific and other computer application programs. Skills to work collaboratively with other locations. Proven skills to quickly evaluate complex issues and identify multiple options for resolution. Demonstrated management and conflict resolution skills to effectively lead and motivate others. Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating a desire to promote diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging to establish and maintain positive & professional working relationships with colleagues, students and team members. Exemplifies Haas' four Defining Leadership Principles: (1) Question the status quo; (2) Confidence without attitude; (3) Students always; and (4) Beyond yourself. Demonstrates an understanding of and commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in a business, organization or public university setting.

Education/Training:
    Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.

Salary & Benefits

This is a 100% time (40-hrs a week), monthly paid, exempt position. Annual salary is commensurate with experience up to $160,000.00.
