Job Summary:
The Clinical Assistant is primarily responsible for ensuring high quality andcontinuity in the provision of comprehensive primary medical care services. TheClinical Assistant is utilized in performing typical front and back officeclinical functions. The Clinical Assistant is under the overall on-sitesupervision of the Nurse Manager.

Environmental Hazards:
Possible exposure to hazardous material, hot and cold, blood borne pathogens.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry 8-10 pounds, stoop, reach, stand, walk, finger,grasp, feel, talk, hear, see, and perform repetitive motions with or withoutreasonable accommodations.

Education & Experience

Position Qualifications:

Required:
-Completion of an approved Clinical Assistant educational program or 2 yearsrelated experience in a clinical setting.
-On Dec. 7, 2021, a federal judge temporarily blocked the implementation of thefederal contractor vaccination mandate and its associated guidance. Followingthe injunction, Oklahoma State University has, consistent with applicable law,paused the vaccination mandate. Skills, Proficiencies, and Knowledge:
Knowledge of all areas related to clinic workflow. Excellent customer service skills and goodcommunication skills. Ability to multi-task while providing good patient care.Good computer skills and ability to learn new computer systems as needed.Primary skills include verbal and written communication with patients topromote continuity of care and follow-up as well as daily retrieval andscanning/filing of clinical encounter forms and reports for use by clinic staffduring patient care activities
