Job DescriptionThe Department of Criminal Justice & Criminology invites applications for a 9-month, ranked, tenure-track Assistant Professor appointment. Substantive teaching and research areas are open. Responsibilities include scholarly research/publishing, pursuit of extramural funding, high-quality undergraduate and graduate teaching, and service. The successful candidate will demonstrate commitments to community engagement in research and teaching, and increasing diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education.
The department offers B.A. and M.S. degrees in Criminal Justice and Criminology. UMKC’s urban location provides excellent opportunities for research and community engagement. Minimum QualificationsQualifications include a Ph.D. by August 1, 2023 in Criminology or a closely related field; however, advanced ABDs will be considered.
Full Time/Part TimeThis is a 9-month, benefit-eligible, ranked, tenure-track, full-time faculty appointment to begin in August 2023
SalarySalary is negotiable and commensurate with qualification and experience.
