Chapman University School of Pharmacy (CUSP), the first ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy in Orange County, California, seeks excellent candidates for a 12-month non-tenure track faculty position in the Department of Pharmacy Practice. The faculty rank and appointment are open. The anticipated start date is early 2023. Qualifications

Minimal Qualifications: •A Pharm.D. from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy •Current California pharmacist licensure, or eligible for pharmacist license in California (must achieve and hold a CA license within 6 months) •Post-doctoral residency training and/or fellowship or equivalent experience in the area of ambulatory care •For an appointment at the associate professor rank, a significant record of accomplishment in scholarship, teaching, and service is required. The level of appointment will be commensurate with experience. Desired Qualifications: •Strong communication and interpersonal skills with which to interact with student pharmacists, postdoctoral residents/fellows, and faculty within the university. •A commitment to teamwork. •Demonstrated ability to conduct practice-based research, provide clinical and classroom teaching to student pharmacists and other healthcare professional students, and establish and provide exemplary clinical services in an ambulatory care setting. •Knowledge of the culture and operations of an academic institution. •Demonstrated ability to apply for and obtain extramural funding for research projects.

Responsibilities

This position reports to the Chair of the Department of Pharmacy Practice and would be expected to: •Develop, coordinate, and deliver didactic and experiential education in the Doctor of Pharmacy Program as assigned by the Department Chair •Engage in practice-based or other scholarly activities in support of the School’s research and innovation mission •Serve as a student advisor •Serve on School, Department, University, and practice site committees •Actively participate in professional organizations and community outreach to promote CUSP •Enhance or develop a practice site as a faculty ambulatory care pharmacist

The salary range for this Assistant/Associate Professor position is $130,000- $160,000.
