The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine, at the University of Colorado has an opening for a PRN sonographer position at the rank of Clinical Instructor. This position will provide support to our freestanding Maternal Fetal Medicine clinic, located in Fort Collins. This position reports directly to the MFM Practice Manager and indirectly to the Medical Directors and the Division Administrative Director.
HIPAA - Access to PHI

The duties of this position will include performing independent diagnostic ultrasound examinations on "high risk obstetrical" patients who will be subsequently evaluated and treated by a Maternal Fetal Medicine attending physician, preparing preliminary reports for physician review, and verifying data obtained from the ultrasound. As needed, this position may be asked to review and triage referrals alongside schedulers and MFM providers to determine urgency in scheduling. You will work cooperatively with the Medical Directors, Perinatologists, fellow Sonographers, and the administrative team to ensure high patient and referring physician satisfaction

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $49.00 to $59.00 per hour.

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
    Licensure /Certifications: Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider required
2 years of sonography experience in an OBGYN setting
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience and formal training in Fetal Echocardiogram. Candidate must be willing and able to obtain a valid and current Fetal Echocardiogram certification within 12 months of hire.
  • Nuchal Translucency certification.
  • Experience working with ViewPoint ultrasound reporting system.
  • Bilingual, Spanish-speaking
  • Computer Skills:
      Basic keyboarding skills MS Office EPIC
