Join the UND School of Medicine and Health Science (SMHS) Finance Team! As a Financial Analyst, your portfolio will include many exciting projects and growth opportunities in budget operations, financial reporting, financial analysis, accounting and payroll, and financial modeling.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Under supervision, assist with annual budgeting processes
  • Assist in producing financial reports, including financial results, key metrics, and variance reporting
  • Provide financial analysis to support the managerial decision-making process
  • Review assigned accounting and payroll transactions. Assist various tasks for monthly and annual closings

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with a major in business administration, finance, accounting or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of financial and budget management experience
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office software including Word and Excel applications
  • Successful completion of criminal history records check.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with data analysis functions of Excel, including pivot tables, what-if scenarios, etc.
  • PeopleSoft (HRMS, Finance), Jaggaer, and other NDUS financial systems
Minimum Hiring Salary/Position Classification

$50,000 /year, commensurate with experience; exempt; benefited, full-time 

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday; 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
