Educational and Experience Requirement:

Associates Degree in related field. Three years relevant administrative assistant experience or experience in a related field. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.

Nature & Purpose of Position:

Performs advanced administrative assistant duties for the College of Education, Graduate Programs.

Primary Responsibilities:

Performs advanced administrative assistant duties to support the College of Education (COE), Graduate Programs, “Grad Hub”. Conducts research required for preparation and dissemination of information. Plans and coordinates appointments, events, workshops and conferences for COE, graduate programs. Prepares handbooks, reports, and maintains adequate records to include the collection, processing and disbursement of reports related to COE graduate programs and enrollment. Acts as a liaison between University departments, students, faculty, administrators, and staff to facilitate the goals and mission of the College of Education “Grad Hub”. Manages Associate Dean’s budget including Operations and maintenance, travel, supply, and food orders. Handles P-Card purchases, monitors expenses, and oversees inventory. Submits documents as part of the hiring process for COE Graduate Programs. Performs other related duties as assigned to support COE “Grad Hub” and Associate Dean.

Other Specifications:

Requires a general knowledge of standard office functions. Requires good knowledge of procedures and practices. Must be able to use standard office software. Must be able to apply policies and procedures and solve routine problems of a repetitive nature.
