The Mathematics Department offers MS and PhD degrees in pure mathematics, and in three other graduate areas: applied and computational mathematics, financial mathematics, and biomathematics. Many of our faculty are cross-disciplinary and the successful candidate will be encouraged to work across disciplinary boundaries.

Responsibilities

The Department of Mathematics at Florida State University is accepting applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship position in Algebra starting in August 2023. The successful candidate will teach graduate courses, supervise PhD students, and teach general undergraduate mathematics courses.

Qualifications

Candidates should have a Ph.D. from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in mathematics as well as postdoctoral experience.
