Job Description The University of Missouri-Kansas City, School of Dentistry seeks a non-tenure-track faculty Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor in the Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. The Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics is responsible for the education of pre-doctoral dental students and orthodontic residents, patient care and service in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics, and research.

Specific responsibilities of this position include administration of the pre-doctoral orthodontic education program, provision of instruction for pre-doctoral dental students and orthodontic residents in the classroom, laboratory, and clinic. Prior clinical orthodontic experience, an MS or equivalent degree, and American Board of Orthodontics certification can be helpful. There are potential opportunities for clinical practice for the qualified candidate.

Minimum Qualifications Applicants must have a certificate from a CODA-accredited Advanced Education Residency Program in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics and a commitment to teaching and service. A DDS/DMD or equivalent with eligibility for Missouri Dental Faculty licensure is required https://pr.mo.gov/dental.asp.

Full Time/Part Time

This is a 12-month ranked, non-tenure track, benefit-eligible faculty appointment with opportunity for ranked promotion.

Desired start date is November 1, 2022.
