Responsibilities
  • Implements complex and / or moderate-scale security controls to prevent unauthorized access or changes to the campus financial systems.
  • Independently researches, analyzes and addresses attempted efforts to compromise security protocols.
  • Advises departments on security prevention and best practices.
  • Use PeopleSoft Data Privacy and Advanced Query framework to obfuscate or redact data according to security guidelines.
  • Collaborates with team members to find opportunities for automation, creation of workflows utilizing rulesets based on established business processes and security controls.
  • Advises departments on security prevention and best practices
  • Applies, configures and manages complex security systems.
  • Administers complex security configurations to control access to software and networks.
  • Provisions and de-provisions security controls to the Oracle PeopleSoft Financial system as well as other systems supported by the security team.
  • Responds to customer inquiries regarding current or desired system access.
  • Collects, examines, analyzes and reports to management regarding the causes, effects and implications of security incidents.
  • Applies advanced IT security concepts, governmental regulations, departmental and campus or Office of the President policies and procedures to respond to and appropriately escalate complex IT security incidents.
  • Responsible for generating and processing the the quarterly system access review process, running system audits and analyzing results in order to make timely changes to system controls.
  • Evaluates new Oracle PeopleSoft enterprise functionality.
  • Coordinates with the Financial Information Systems Product Owners to determine which functional will be implemented and when and implements and maintains the enterprise functionality.

Required Qualifications
  • Ability to follow department processes and procedures.
  • Interpersonal skills sufficient to work effectively with both technical and non- technical personnel at various levels in the organization.
  • Experience using IT security systems and tools.
  • Knowledge of data encryption techniques.
  • Experience in incident response and digital forensics including data collection, examination and analysis.
  • Demonstrated skill at administering complex security controls and configurations to software and networks.
  • Knowledge of Oracle PeopleSoft security issues and approaches.
  • 3+ years experience with Oracle PeopleSoft application security and access management control.
  • Welcomes differing skills, outlooks, and experiences of others working toward shared goals.
  • Able to work with stakeholders in order to gather requirements and make recommendations on appropriate software necessary to complete business functions.
  • Proven track record of troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills necessary to communicate with others, solve problems, demonstrate patience and understanding, ensure customer satisfaction, and resolve customer complaints.

Education/Training:
  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic skill at reading and interpreting security logs.
  • Knowledge of other areas of IT, department processes and procedures.
  • Demonstrated skills applying security controls to computer software.
  • Demonstrated experience selecting and applying appropriate data encryption technologies.
  • Knowledge of data encryption techniques.
  • Experience with Jira and SmartSheets.
  • Advanced interpersonal skills sufficient to work effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization.

Salary & Benefits
  • This is a full-time (40 hours/week), career position, and eligible for full UC benefits.
  • This is an exempt, monthly paid position. The annual salary is commensurate with experience.
