**SIUE Head Start/Early Head Start is excited to announce a new hire incentive of up to $3,000.**

SIUE’s Head Start/ Early Head Start is seeking highly motivated, self-starters to join their dynamic team as a Special Services Program Coordinator. The Special Services Program Coordinator is a senior administrative position with overall Head Start/Early Head Start program service area responsibilities. The SIUE Head Start/Early Head Start program serves more than 860 families and children birth through age five, including children with special needs, throughout St. Clair County and consists of a team of individuals dedicated to making real change that leads to the success of children, families and communities. The program is housed in nine early childhood centers, eight managed directly by SIUE staff, and two collaborations. SIUE’s Head Start program includes a rigorous school readiness program and provides comprehensive services, such as health/dental screenings and family engagement and support activities.

The Special Services Program Coordinator develops collaborative agreements with 26 Local Education Agencies (LEA's)/ Early Intervention Agencies (LEIAs) and networks with community/state agencies, and supervises the Individual Education Plan (IEP)/Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP)process for all SIUE Head Start/Early Head Start program options. Additional responsibilities include co-administrating community-wide developmental screenings; responding appropriately to referral data; completing direct classroom observations; providing instructional support to teaching staff; facilitating small group Practice-Based Coaching (PBC); supervising the Social/Emotional School Readiness Coach(es) and art enrichment and behavioral health team members; assessing individual and program-wide child outcome data; and ensuring parental rights throughout the IEP/IFSP process. The Special Services Program Coordinator will also assure full program compliance with all Head Start Performance Standards, the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned based on the needs and goals of the department.

**New Hire Incentives paid out based on percentage of hire and in set timed increments. Current or transfer employees (within Head Start/Early Head Start program) not eligible. Full details will be discussed at hire.

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications:

-Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a specialized service provision.
-Early Childhood/Head Start experience and networking with community agencies.
-Experience with low income and culturally diverse families.
-Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and problem solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

-Master's degree in Special Education Five (5) years supervisory experience.
-Experienced with low income and culturally diverse families.
