SUMMARY:

The Facilities Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Director of Facilities with customer service relations and the day-to-day operations and preservation of all Tier 1 building locations on A&M-Commerce campus. The coordinator will act as the liaison for Tier 1 service for visitors and occupants of these locations. The Facilities Coordinator is efficient in addressing, responding, repairing and reporting facility deficiencies immediately to enhance the student, occupant and visitor experience while on campus.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as liaison for facilities at Tier 1 locations and their day-to-day operations at A&M-Commerce. These include but are not limited to: Lakeside Pavilion, McDowell Administration, Student Rayburn Center, Heritage House and Library.
  • Assists with grounds upkeep by pressure washing, picking up trash, addressing any issues that arise during the day and/or contacting SSC for immediate attention.
  • Maintain and upkeep of operations and support of Tier 1 facilities to include trash, pressure washing, reporting safety concerns, assisting students, occupants and visitors with general questions.
  • Provide technical and general support for all daily operations and events at Tier 1 locations.
  • Perform routine inspections of locations to address, identify and repair normal wear and tear particularly around facilities and in common areas.
  • Identify and address potential deficiencies in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a presence at Tier 1 locations and initiate improvements and report potential problems, issues and opportunities to Director of Facilities.
  • Provide superior customer service on behalf of facilities and set the standard for building/location pride.
  • All other duties assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience / Knowledge / Skills: Two (2) years’ experience in customer service industry.
  • Ability to: Lead by example and work individually and on a team to restore, preserve and improve A&M-Commerce property.
  • Licensing/Professional Certifications: N/A
  • Physical Requirements: Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Requirements:

10 years’ experience in customer service industry. Proven experience in providing superior customer service.
