Responsibilities

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Florida State University seeks to fill a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the area of Inorganic Chemistry to begin Fall 2023. The successful candidate will be expected to develop an internationally recognized and externally supported research program in addition to teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses. Specific responsibilities will be assigned at the time of hire.

Qualifications

Doctoral degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research and service.

Applicants pursuing research in Inorganic Chemistry at the interfaces with other disciplines are especially encouraged to apply. The interdisciplinary areas of interest include but are not limited to organometallic chemistry, environmental chemistry, catalysis, biochemistry, nuclear chemistry, spectroscopy, quantum science, and theory development are encouraged to apply.
