CONTEXT OF THE JOB:
The researcher will work with Professor Wagner and the Proton Exchange Membrane Research for Cost-Competitive Zero-Emission Heavy Vehicles research team comprised of UD, Chemours, NREL & Plug Power under the auspices of the Department of Defense. The research will focus on development of additives for perfluorinated sulfonic acids copolymers (PSACs) with the objective of overcoming the conductivity-mechanical strength balance limitations. The research will include both proprietary and publishable work.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
QUALIFICATIONS:
A PhD or equivalent in chemical engineering, physical chemistry, materials science, physics or related fields with experience in experimental measurements of polymers and nanoparticles. Expertise in scattering methods and rheology is strongly desired. Strong interpersonal skills along with analytical skills.
