Job Details
Coordinate College wide efforts to ensure compliance with Federal, State and local regulations and oversee enterprise risk management programs. Key areas include, but are not limited to, a business continuity program, emergency management, regulatory compliance, contract review, risk financing analysis, claims and litigation management and reporting as well as other related duties. Work to develop a culture of collaboration and proactive approaches to managing risks and maintaining compliance.
Responsibilities- Provide leadership and guidance in the development, implementation and continuous review of a comprehensive enterprise risk management program to include risk identification, risk assessment, risk control, risk financing and risk administration that aligns with the College Strategic Plan.
- Establish and oversee an institutional compliance program including a compliance working group program that provides independent oversight and coordination of the College's compliance efforts and regulatory efforts pertaining to, but not limited to, FERPA, HIPAA, Red Flag, OSHA, Title IX and ADA.
- Collaborate with the President, Executive Leadership Team, Governing Board and institutional constituents at all levels to facilitate the effective development, implementation and continuous review of enterprise risk management and compliance based programs.
- Lead and serve on committees as necessary to represent the College's enterprise risk management and compliance programs.
- Promote a strong culture of compliance and enterprise risk management at the highest standards of ethics, integrity and responsibility within the College community through training, presentations, advisory services and mentorship.
- Monitor and, as necessary, coordinate compliance activities of other departments to remain current on all compliance activities and to identify trends and suggest implementation efforts.
- Provide reports and recommendations to senior leadership about institutional priorities in managing compliance and risk opportunities.
- Provide oversight and direction of risk financing options and manage and report on claims and litigation filed against the College.
- The position may perform other duties commensurate with the functions and level of the position.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or other comparable higher education degree. Professional designation such as Associate in Risk Management (ARM) and/or Certified Risk Manager (CRM) preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years experience in enterprise risk management and compliance management
SPECIAL POSITION CONDITIONS: May be required to be available for after hours emergency response duties as a member of a 7x24x365 Emergency Response Team
SALARY: $88,805.00 - $94,133.00 (Dependent upon qualifications)APPLICATION DEADLINE: December 31, 2022

- Ability to analyze technical documents including, but not limited to, contracts, insurance policies, legal compliance documents, claims and lawsuits
- Ability to write technical documents including, but not limited to, assumption of risk forms, policies, procedures, training manuals and legal responses
- Skill in analyzing data and drawing conclusions
- Skill in communications and interpersonal skills as applied to providing training to employees with multiple levels of understanding and experience
- Ability to adapt and maintain professional composure in emergency response situations
- Ability to set priorities, organize tasks and perform multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to take initiative, work independently and make decisions based upon established policies and procedures as well as technical and practical experience
