Overview

St. Jude Department of Oncology is looking for an exceptional executive assistant to guide us as we grow. Our new strategic plan will ensure that St. Jude remains a place where teamwork flourishes; internal and external collaboration thrives; and employees can make a difference in children’s lives. To make sure this happens, we will need an organized and collaborative leader to join us as our new Executive Assistant in Oncology!    
Responsibilities

  • Serves as the primary administrative support person for an Executive, Chair, or Vice President (VP) at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
  • Monitors and coordinates the department budget, expenses, and resources.
  • May coordinate the grant application process.
  • Implements and maintains processes to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of department services.
  • Uses autonomy and discretion to handle confidential matters.
  • Serves as the communication liaison for the department.
  • Plans special events and manages the Executive, Chair, or VP's calendar.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution.

Minimum Education

  • High school diploma/GED required. Bachelor's degree in business, communications, healthcare administration, or a related field strongly preferred

  • Minimum Experience

  • Five (5) years of administrative support experience required.
  • Project management experience required.
  • Experience in budget management required.
  • Experience in grant administration experience preferred.
  • Experience in a healthcare or academic setting preferred
