Kutztown University of Pennsylvania enrolls approximately 8,000 students in graduate and undergraduate programs. The Department of Social Work at Kutztown University invites applications for a full-time, tenure track faculty position beginning Spring 2023. The applicant should be willing to teach a range of courses in the BSW, MSW, and DSW programs. Experience or willingness to participate in the process of maintaining BSW, MSW, and DSW accreditations is preferred. Collegial support in community service and scholarship including opportunities for research and development in community-based services will be provided. Collaboration with faculty in developing theory for the program’s emerging practice perspective, The Family-in-Environment, is expected. Successful applicants should be able to teach graduate and undergraduate courses both during the week and weekend executive schedules. Skills with online learning platforms required. Teach foundation and advanced generalist courses and specialized courses in policy practice, leadership, and management. Experience in leadership, management, and policy practice is required. Demonstrated community service, experience with diverse populations, and a record of scholarship preferred.

In accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, performance review and evaluation of faculty is based on effective teaching and fulfillment of professional responsibilities; continuing scholarly growth; and service. Required: Ph.D. or earned doctorate in a related field, practice experience and the equivalent of two years of teaching experience at either or both undergraduate and graduate levels. Preferred: Ph.D. or DSW. Demonstrated success in implementing a scholarly agenda expected.
