Job Summary

The Multimedia Journalist gathers information for the purpose of shooting, writing, and editing his/her footage for the newscast, special programs and sports programs.

The multimedia journalist works closely with news producers and assignment editor to prepare news stories for all programs and works with staff members to improve the stations product.

Required Qualifications

Must be a UWG student enrolled in a minimum of six credit hours.

Must have a cumulative grade-point average of 2.0 or higher.

Applicants must have completed COMM 3352 or have completed the first 6 sessions of a WUTV workshop that starts at the beginning of each semester or complete the WUTV 8-week training program.

Must complete and pass a skills test.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift 50lbs.

Must be able to stand and hold a camera for 45 minutes.

Must be able to carry camera supplies.
