The Temerty Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto and Unity Health Toronto – St. Michael’s Hospital are seeking applications for the Agnico Eagle Professorship in Minimally Invasive Urology & Endourology at St. Michael’s Hospital-Unity Health Toronto. The successful candidate must currently hold a full-time clinical academic appointment at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor and an Active Staff appointment at Unity Health Toronto – St. Michael’s Hospital. Renewal of the incumbent for a second 5-year term will be based on a satisfactory review by a committee appointed by the Vice President, Research and Innovation, Unity Health Toronto. This is a five-year, joint University of Toronto and St. Michael’s Hospital Limited Term Professorship. The tentative start date of this appointment is November 1, 2022.

The successful candidate will be an Appointed Scientist or Investigator at Unity Health Toronto who will lead a successful and independent research program in the area of urology and/or endourology.

Applicants will be evaluated by an Appointments Committee according to University of Toronto and St. Michael’s Hospital policies. Consideration will be given to the applicant’s record of scholarly activity (including grants and awards, peer-reviewed publications, quality and safety program development, collaborations locally, nationally and internationally, supervision of graduate students and fellows and provision of quality and safety education at the graduate and post-graduate levels) and contributions to the field.

The Professorship will support academic activities of the incumbent, which may include salary support, research operations, and relevant educational events. The incumbent will be required to submit an annual progress report to the Office of the Vice President, Research & Innovation outlining the activity and impact of the Professorship.

Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae (Common CV), a 2-page outline of their academic program (including research productivity, training activities and academic prominence), and a 1-2 page description of how the professorship funds would be used.
