Job DescriptionThree positions are available in the Perinatal Research Program in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the UMKC School of Medicine to study molecular mechanisms controlling placental development, immune regulations at the maternal fetal interface, and the vascular complications associated with various pregnancy disorders.
Minimum QualificationsApplicants must have a PhD or equivalent degree.
Expertise in the areas of human placental research, rodent embryo handling and manipulation techniques, tissue-specific gene targeting, immunobiology of pregnancy and graft versus host disease, developmental biology, animal models of pregnancy diseases is desired.
Two years of postdoctoral experience is required for the title of Research Scientist.
Three years of postdoctoral experience is required for the title of Senior Research Scientist.
Full Time/Part TimeFull-Time, benefit eligible, unranked/non-tenure track academic position. Initial contract is 12 months beginning Fall 2022.
SalarySalary and title are negotiable and commensurate with the level of experience and technical expertise.
