Job Description Summary:

The University of La Verne’s Psychology Department invites applications for two full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor positions to begin with the 2023-2024 academic year as core faculty in our APA- accredited PsyD program in clinical psychology.

Specific Duties:

  • Teaching 5 courses per year, a minimum of which 3 must be in the PsyD program in the areas of program need;
  • Serving as dissertation chair and committee member;
  • Conducting and publishing research;
  • Providing advisement and mentoring;
  • Service on committees in the department, college, and university.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology;
  • Completion, or in process of completing, of an APA-accredited doctoral program and APA-accredited internship;
  • Demonstrated teaching experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Training or expertise in at least one of the following areas: assessment, biological bases of behavior, consultation, ethics, evidence-based practice, human development/lifespan, measurement, multicultural psychology;
  • Completed or presently in the process of completing post-doctoral hours towards licensure;
  • Applicants who have obtained licensure as a Psychologist;
  • Applicants with graduate teaching experience.
