**This position is open to Internal CSMD Candidates only.Under the general supervision of the Facilities Management Superintendent, the Maintenance Specialist III performs a variety of maintenance, repairs, installations, and restoration functions on facilities, equipment and systems throughout the campus; including but not limited to carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting and preventative maintenance. The incumbent may help mentor, counsel and assist lower-level maintenance employees within the department ensuring workers adhere to all safety standards, policies, and procedures. This position is journey level and requires previous training, experience, application of job concepts, and specific skills. The incumbent performs work with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgement.
