Job Summary The Department of Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering at the University of Colorado Boulder invites applications for a teaching faculty position in the Engineering Partnership Program with Colorado Mesa University to start in January 2023.

Who We Are
In 2008, the University of Colorado Boulder and Colorado Mesa University began a partnership to offer accredited bachelor’s degrees in engineering at the campus of Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, CO. A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering was the first degree offered, and a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering was launched in 2016. Each engineering partnership degree is offered in its entirety at Colorado Mesa University with degrees conferred by the University of Colorado Boulder. During the first two years of each partnership program, students take courses at Colorado Mesa University from the faculty of Colorado Mesa University. The remainder of each program is delivered at Colorado Mesa University by faculty of the University of Colorado who are in residence at Colorado Mesa University. The Engineering Partnership Program currently has 15 faculty members in Civil Engineering, Electrical, Computer Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering, and, to date, more than 200 students have graduated from the Engineering Partnership Program. What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
This position will support the Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering offered through the partnership program at Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, Colorado. This position has responsibilities for teaching three upper-division undergraduate courses in civil engineering per semester. Responsibilities of this position also include developing elective courses, student advising, outreach and recruiting, professional development, and fostering and maintaining relationships with industry.

What We Can Offer
The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $85,000 based on experience and rank.

What We Require
Applicants must hold either a Ph.D. in civil engineering or a closely related discipline, an M.S. degree in civil engineering and a professional engineering license, or a B.S. degree in civil engineering with five or more years of experience as a licensed professional engineer.
