Summary of Job Duties and Responsibilities:Routine fiscal tasks of restricted funds, including grant and cost sharing reconciliations, and agency invoicing and reporting as well as office administrative and accounting duties.
Specific Job Duties:
- Review month e-print reports to ensure documentation is complete and accurate for permanent grant file
- Prepare and send final invoices to agencies
- Reconcile and initiate closing of grants once final payment is received
- Index grant documents in BDMS
- Process receivables
- Prepare and send monthly BVC invoices
- Annual subcontract monitoring
- Supervise student workers
- Coordinate ordering office supplies
- Maintain office purchasing card
Office Accounting duties include:
- Reconcile and mail checks
- Petty Cash
Perform other duties as requested by supervisory personnelMinimum Education Requirements:
- Two years of college in a business-related field
Minimum Experience and Skill Requirements:
- Four years of general accounting/bookkeeping experience. Additional related education may be exchanged for up to two years of required experience.
- Must possess excellent office, organization, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Computer skills required, including knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
- Must be able to work with a variety of people.
- Ability to work with details, memory for oral and written directions, alertness, initiative, ability to plan and make decisions and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Keyboarding, office management and procedures, word processing, database management, microcomputer, and other office machines.
