POSITION SUMMARY:
The job of the Institutional Research Intern is for the purpose/s of performing requested data management, reporting, and analytical support for the Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness. The position is a part-time (15-20 hours a week) position for the Fall 2022 term with an opportunity to renew January 1, 2023 based on budget availability.
REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following responsibilities are general duties that a particular employee in this position may or may not be required to perform. The day-to-day duties required of this position may vary.
● Provide support in gathering, cleaning, and coding data from several databases.
● Prepares reports, analysis, and statistical related functions.
● Support the maintenance of the reporting calendars and training manuals.
● Design and maintain survey instruments.
● Provide data support for institutional and committee work.
● Prepares data for internal, local, state or federal reporting requirements.
KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCIES:
● Demonstrate ability to manipulate data using common software programs.
● Clear written and verbal communication skills.
● Analytical and organizational skills.
● Time management and ability to work independently and effectively.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION:
● Undergraduate or graduate student who is enrolled in a Fall 2022 term.
● 1-2 years of experience or education in data, statistics, analytics, or similar.
REPRESENTATIVE MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT AND/OR SOFTWARE USED:
● Preferred Experience in Google Suite, Excel, Word, FileMaker Pro

The following environmental / Atmospheric working conditions are commonly, but not always, associated with the performance of this position. The actual working conditions will vary.

COMPENSATION
$21 / hour (10 - 20 hours a week)
