The School of Management (SOM) at Clark University, AACSB-accredited since 1986, invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor of Information Management and Business Analytics position to begin fall 2023. To be considered, applicants should have a Ph.D. in Information Systems or Business Analytics or a related field of study (e.g., data science, computer science, statistics, information science) by August 2023 from an AACSB-International or similarly accredited institution. The ideal candidate must have a strong commitment to high-quality research and excellent teaching in business analytics. Research and teaching background in one or more of the areas of machine learning, artificial/or intelligence, Relational & Nonrelation databases, Fintech, and societal impact of analytics are preferred. It is imperative that candidates demonstrate enthusiasm for and evidence of potential for teaching excellence in business analytics and information management at the Master's level. Moreover, candidates need to provide evidence of potential for scholarly research excellence, with the expectation of publishing in top-tier journals. Although not required, prior industry experience are desirable qualifications.
The SOM offers undergraduate management, marketing, and finance majors, as well as Master of Business Administration (MBA) with Information Management and Business Analytics concentrations, Master's in Business Analytics (MSBA), Master's in Finance (MSF), Master's in Accounting (MSA), Master's in Accounting Analytics (MSAA), Master's in Marketing (MSMK), Master's in Marketing Analytics (MSMKA), and Master and Master of Science in Management (MSM) degrees. In addition to offering programs on the main campus in Worcester, Massachusetts, SOM offers some courses online.
