Job Description:


Bunker Hill Community College seeks a self-motivated, service-oriented professional to promote and manage the logistics of internal and public-facing programs of the Center for Equity and Cultural Wealth (CECW). The CECW is dedicated to creating equitable and culturally inclusive learning environments that value the strengths of our diverse students, faculty, staff, and local communities. Through scholarship, practice, and advocacy, the Center promotes meaningful community partnerships, equity-minded practices and culturally-grounded pedagogies to foster the success of all students and members of the College community. Reporting to the Director of CECW, the Program Manager will support the fulfillment of CECW's mission in alignment with BHCC's mission, vision, and institutional values.


The Program Manager will participate in the planning of the CECW's programming, trainings, and events for internal and external stakeholders, and oversee the logistics of program implementation. The Program Manager will facilitate strategy development with several of the Center's working groups, including affinity groups and student engagement. Under the guidance of the Director, the Program Manager undertake program/project management, fiscal management and reporting, assessment, and administrative functions of the Center. Key elements of project management will include communication strategies, marketing, and promotion of the CECW's work to internal and external audiences.



Requirements:


  • Master's degree in education, sociology, social justice leadership, ethnic studies, gender studies, psychology, public administration, management, or a related field
  • A minimum of three to five years of related work experience in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and initiatives for internal and external constituents
  • Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and evaluating evidence-based, online, in-person, and/or blended DEI education, programming, and training for diverse audiences
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity and equity and experience working with diverse student, faculty, staff, and community populations
  • Ability to work as part of a high-level administrative team
  • Demonstrated experience establishing and monitoring organizational goals, outcomes, and metrics, both quantitative and qualitative
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, meet deadlines and prioritize workload; ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team
  • Demonstrated experience in budgeting and fiscal management
  • A track record of working collaboratively with individuals and groups across differing viewpoints
  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills
  • Demonstrated experience effectively engaging with community partners
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion, tact and confidentiality
  • Be highly proficient in Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite, calendaring, and project management related technology.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Community college work or teaching experience
  • Formal training in equity and inclusion and/or mediation
  • Knowledge of institutional and systemic factors that create and promote inequities in education and best practices to improve outcomes
  • Fluency in multiple languages


Additional Information:


Salary Range: $65,000.00-$75,000.00

Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) is a multi-campus urban institution, its main campus situated in the historic Charlestown neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts.
