    Location: Career Center, On Campus
    Start Date: September 2022
    End Date: May/June 2024, with the possibility to extend, this position is grant funded.


    Hours: 40 hours per week, non-exempt employee


    The Career Center is looking for an eager and proactive individual who is interested in serving students through a variety of program tasks. The Program Assistant will report directly to the Director of Career Development and Vocation, work on special projects to assist and support the Career Center and College Corps Fellowship. The Center for Career and Vocation supports the mission of Concordia University Irvine by helping undergraduate students discover their calling and vocation, create a roadmap toward career readiness, and live out their calling.

    The Program Assistant will aid in preparation for career readiness through the following tasks:
    ● Help the Director plan and coordinate special events throughout the year, i.e., graduate fairs, hiring expos and employer panels, etiquette dinner and other events as needed
    ● Enter and maintain data on student files, external recruitment efforts and Student Learning Objectives
    ● Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports
    ● Assist in marketing the services, resources and programs through developing appropriate materials as well as advertising special events
    ● Assist in the on-boarding and support of College Corps Fellows, Host sites and student employees
    ● Manages the internal and external communications for the Career Center and College Corps Fellowship
    ● Assists in the recruitment of external graduate schools and employers for fairs
    ● Oversees production of program materials and informational publications
    ● Manage projects from beginning to completion
    ● Supports the College Corps Fellowship Coordinator as needed
    ● Attends regular Student Affairs, Student Success and weekly 1:1 meetings with Supervisor
    ● Performs other essential duties and tasks specific to position

    ● Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
    ● Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze data with a critical eye
    ● Strong verbal and written, interpersonal, and communication skills
    ● Self-motivated, willing to learn, and interested in working in a team environment
    ● Takes initiative and ownership of tasks assigned

    Requirements:
    ● Requires a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, psychology, communication, public relations, or other related major.
    ● Proficiency in Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office, Canva or Adobe Suite
