JOB SUMMARY
The Office of Global Affairs seeks a Director of Global Partnerships and Outreach to lead the Global Partnerships and Outreach unit of Global Affairs. In this role, the Director manages the development and implementation of global projects and initiatives, facilitates agreements between UConn and its international partners, and oversees the Global Training and Development Institute to implement education and training programs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree in a related field.
- At least five years of professional experience managing programs, projects, and events, with at least one year of experience leading a team or providing oversight of large projects.
- Outstanding interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience supervising professional staff.
- Experience working in international partnerships, multinational colleges or institutions, or managing global educational programs.
- Knowledge of policies, regulations, and best practices related to international partnerships and contractual agreements.
- Multilingual or proficiency in a language other than English.
- Experience working in a higher education environment.
- Global living, work, or study experience.
APPOINTMENT TERMS
This is a 12-month full-time position with working hours between 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. The University offers a competitive salary, outstanding benefits including employee and dependent tuition waivers at UConn, and a highly desirable work environment. Salary will be commensurate with the successful candidate's background and experience.
