Summary

The General Maintenance Worker I will be responsible for supporting campus services with the handling of furniture, equipment, and material relocations and the collection and transport of various recyclables to include but not limited to paper, plastics, cardboard and electronic items. General Maintenance Worker I will work with Assistant Supervisor of Support Services to coordinate the most efficient and effective routes to services the Tulane Community. This position will also supervise temporary employees, student employees and volunteers when needed. This is an “Essential Personnel” position, which can require that the incumbent must report for duty and work through emergencies, and also can be designated by the supervisor as essential for the accomplishment of work, or for the completion of a critical task.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have a valid and unrestricted U.S. Drivers license (not including corrective lens needs) and must meet the Tulane University Motor Vehicle Policy criteria to become authorized as a driver.

Preferred Qualifications

• CDL license helpful
