We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Director to join our Inclusive STEM Ecosystems for Equity & Diversity (ISEED) unit. Reporting to the Program Director, you will perform professional-level management in the development, implementation and evaluation of project resources, activities, and outreach. The direction provided by this position allows for the enhanced utility of the project resources by key stakeholders, as well as establishing new strategies for project growth.

You will serve as Center Coordinator for the S-STEM Resource and Evaluation Center (REC), supported by a 5-year, $17M cooperative agreement with NSF. You will manage functions of the project, including tracking of budgets, deliverables, reports, and personnel. Working closely with the Center Director & Co-PI the Center Coordinator will provide day-to-day project management for the REC, facilitate regular leadership and project team meetings, coordinate with sub-awardees and consultants, assist in planning a 1,000-person Annual Scholars Meetings, and implement a communications plan. The Center Coordinator will be part of the REC leadership team, which also includes the REC Director/PI, REC Co-PI, and the PIs of the three sub-awards. They will oversee a project manager, responsible for community engagement, a research manager, and a project associate. They will make sure staff, collaborators, and consultants meet their objectives on a weekly basis. The Center Coordinator acts as guardian of rules, regulations, and policies; serves as resource for all members of the center; and is the center's financial and personnel manager.

What You’ll Do
Conceptualizes, develops, and implements all aspects of programming for the S-STEM REC.  
Oversees daily operations and program development. 
Organizes, designs content for annual meetings 1,000 students supported through S-STEM.  
Communicates with collaborators and liaisons, and coordinators to ensure the work is on time and high-quality.
Supports the development of program reports and updates. 
Ensures the REC meets its weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual progress goals. 
Oversees community engagement and technical assistance efforts.  
Manges the REC’s advisory committee
Coordinates the work of multiple sub-awardees and consultants.
Acts as guardian of AAAS & NSF rules, regulations, and policies.
Tracks the project budget and suggests revisions when needed. 

Minimum Requirements
An advanced degree in a STEM, higher education, or related discipline.
At least, 5 years of experience in progressively responsible positions related to a STEM discipline or education. 
Demonstrated expertise in managing multi-year, complex projects with multiple priorities, partners, and deliverables. 
Advanced project management skills.
Understanding of NSF’s S-STEM program is preferred. 
Knowledge of STEM in higher education, with a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Prior leadership of diversity, equity, and inclusion projects.
Experienced communicating project and research results to funders, stakeholders, and the public.
Skilled team management and leadership abilities. 
A working knowledge of higher education systems and institutional types.
Demonstrated ability to review and evaluate effectiveness of projects and activities.
Track record of preparing reports for publication or presentation at meetings.
Excellent written, verbal communication, and analytical skills.  
Strong collaboration skills. 
Comfortable in assuming risks and making choices.
