The person who fills this position will work within the Florida Center for Research in Science,Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (FCR-STEM) within the Learning Systems Institute (LSI) at Florida State University. FCR-STEM and LSI are interdisciplinary research units with faculty and staff focused on our shared mission of improving education. Responsibilities The e Career and Technical Education Content Specialist will work as an individual and as part of a team to create original content, lead teams of educators on resource development and review materials for CTE education and learning.

Duties of the position include but are not limited to:

    Creating original materials including lessons and activities for CTE educators and students Working closely with CTE educators and professionals in the field to develop original lessons and activities for students Creating original educational resources to support the instruction of mathematics and literacy in the CTE areas Conducting thorough, high-quality review of instructor and student materials in CTE Providing professional development and training as needed for CTE educators, advisors, and administrators
Qualifications Master's degree in a related area.

    2+ years teaching experience in CTE.Proficiency in CTE content.A resume/C.V. attachment is required for consideration.If selected for an interview, multiple completed work samples will be required as part of the interview process.
Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in an area of CTE education, or related field.

    Diverse knowledge and experience in many CTE content areas Experience teaching multiple levels of CTE education Comprehensive understanding of Florida’s CTE education structure and standards Knowledgeable of instruction based on State Standards as well as current research in pedagogy Professional experience in curriculum development and/or publications for CTE education Experience in providing professional development and training as needed for CTE teachers, advisors, and administrators Experience with integrating Mathematics and Literacy Standards and CTE Experience using CPALMS tools and resources (www.cpalms.org)
