Summary of Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Full-time, tenure-track position to begin August 2023.

Duties include teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level, engaging in research resulting in refereed publications, and providing university and regional service. Teaching will be primarily in organic chemistry, but may include general chemistry and polymer chemistry/materials science as needed.

Minimum Education Requirements:

Earned doctorate in Chemistry or related field with research specialization related to organic chemistry is required, with a preference for polymer chemistry/materials science. ABDs with a documented plan of completion by appointment date will be considered.

Minimum Experience and Skill Requirements:

The successful candidate must show the potential to develop a research program that complements existing areas of expertise with the Department of Chemistry, and a strong commitment to teaching excellence.

Preferred Education and/or Experience Qualifications:

The preferred candidate will have a strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals indicating the ability to thrive in a research-intensive setting. Teaching experience in a laboratory or classroom setting is preferred.
