The Northwest Suburban College (NWSC) Vice Presidential Search Committee invites nominations and applications for the position of Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs. The Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs works as the chief academic officer who provides oversight and coordinates all academic and student affairs activities in order to develop a robust institution dedicated to the study of science and healthcare. S/he works directly with the President and the Governing Board in pursuit of the vision of the Founder.

NWSC is a not-for-profit institution of higher education founded in 2008 with the dream of building a high-quality institution focused in the areas of science and healthcare. It believes in imparting education in an accelerated and affordable fashion, thereby relieving students of excessive loan burdens.

The ideal candidate will be someone who is a proven leader of higher education with experience in a private, small college environment and with a passion for institution-building. S/he must possess great professional skills to work with all regulatory bodies, including the Illinois Board of Higher Education (IBHE) and multiple accreditation agencies, while articulating a clear vision of the institution.

Qualifications: Eligible candidates must have a terminal degree (PhD/MD/EdD) and a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in college academics and administration, including the management of accreditation and program-approval processes from regulatory agencies. Extensive teaching and research experience and proven record of accomplishment in developing undergraduate programs is preferred.

Interested candidates should submit an application including a curriculum vitae, statement of accomplishments, teaching philosophy, and their visionary commitment to institution-building. The candidates should also provide the names and contact information of 4-6 individuals who are willing to provide letters of references. Please include all documents as one file/document for submission.

Salary is commensurate with experience.

The review of applications will commence immediately, and applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
