Missouri University of Science and Technology (Missouri S&T) seeks outstanding candidates for the role of Vice Provost of Enrollment Management. This critical leadership position will supervise multiple units, including the offices of Undergraduate Admissions, New Student Programs, Graduate and International Admissions, Student Financial Aid, Enrollment Marketing and Communications, the Registrar, Project Lead the Way, and related support staff. The position will shape and execute strategies to attract, enroll and retain talented students and coordinate relevant campus resources throughout the university. The Vice Provost will provide key leadership toward Missouri S&T’s ambitious goal of driving enrollment growth within both graduate and undergraduate degree programs.

Position Details

The Vice Provost of Enrollment Management is a member of the Provost's Leadership Cabinet and provides critical insight regarding all facets of student recruitment, enrollment, and financial aid. These duties include serving as a liaison for related campus and University of Missouri System activities, as well as working in partnership with key campus stakeholders and external constituencies to identify best practices in enrollment management and leading implementation for such initiatives. The Vice Provost serves as the leading institutional resource on enrollment issues in higher education and holds responsibility for high-level strategic planning as well as overseeing all operational aspects of the Enrollment Management division.

Successful candidates will exhibit the following characteristics:

    An innovative mindset and entrepreneurial spirit with a track record of enrollment success and a commitment to access and diversity. Demonstrated experience in leading the development, implementation, and evaluation of student recruitment, yield management, and retention strategies.Evidence of effective management skills for professional staff and executive leadership skills commensurate with the rank and title of Vice Provost.Demonstrated ability to form meaningful partnerships with internal colleagues (including both staff and faculty partnerships) as well as external constituents. Experience in shaping the development of new programs/initiatives related to enrollment management.
About Missouri S&T

Founded in 1870 as the Missouri School of Mines and Metallurgy, Missouri University of Science and Technology is one of the top technological institutions in the nation and among the first technological institutions established west of the Mississippi River. A US News and World Report Top 100 national public university, Missouri S&T serves 7,200 students and counts over 55,000 living alumni, including world-famous astronauts, scientists, engineers, inventors, and business leaders. S&T has three colleges: the College of the Arts, Sciences, and Education; the College of Engineering and Computing; and the newly established Kummer College of Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Economic Development. Nearly 400 faculty offer 101 degree undergraduate and graduate programs in business, engineering, science, computing, social sciences, and the humanities. In 2020, alumnus Fred Kummer and his wife June donated $300M to create the Kummer Institute of Student Success, Research, and Economic Development, with three primary objectives: (1) elevate S&T’s reputation as an educational and research organization, (2) create broad access to S&T’s exceptional STEM and business programs through outreach to Missouri’s K-12 communities, and (3) drive economic development regionally, statewide, and beyond. Missouri S&T is currently poised for dramatic achievement in these areas as the vision of the Kummer family is brought to fruition.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum requirements for the role include a master's degree and ten years of experience in related areas. Candidates must have significant supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications

A doctoral degree is preferred for this position.
