Job Description

The Intelligent Systems Center (ISC) at the Missouri University of Science and Technology invites applications for two full-time Post Doctoral Fellows. The candidates will help write large proposals and conduct interdisciplinary research on digital factory, intelligent manufacturing, smart environments, cyber physical systems, cyber security, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The candidates are expected to work with ISC investigators to write large proposals and participate in funded research projects. A Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field is required. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the positions are filled.

Minimum Qualifications

A Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates who have strong publications and experience in writing interdisciplinary grant proposals.

ISC has approximately 50 faculty members in research thrust areas including 1) Intelligent Manufacturing Processes, Equipment and Systems, 2) Cyber Physical and Smart Living Systems, 3) Advanced Simulation, Sensing, Control, and Communication, 4) Computational Intelligence and Embedded Systems, and 5) Cyber Security and Trustworthiness.
