The Department of Physics at Ohio State University announces an opening for a tenure-line faculty hire in experimental ultrafast physics. The appointment is effective in the Autumn 2023 and the rank is at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level. Ohio State University has a strong track record of research and funding in ultrafast science and intense laser field physics. Besides strong single investigator programs, Ohio State has two major laser facilities: the NeXUS project (https://nsf-nexus.osu.edu) is an NSF mid-scale ultrafast user facility under construction and the SCARLET 300 TW laser facility (https://hedp.osu.edu) conducts research on high energy density physics.
