Job Overview

The Department of Chemistry invites applications for a tenure track faculty position at the assistant professor level beginning August 15, 2023. The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College is one of the largest regional colleges in Ohio and one of the most diverse colleges at the University of Cincinnati. The college is located in Blue Ash, Ohio, fifteen miles north of the uptown campus, on 135 acres in a park-like setting. We offer primarily associate degrees in career and transition programs, as well as general education courses and technical baccalaureate degrees to approximately 4800 students. We value excellent teaching and personalized student supports to help students achieve their goals, whether the goal is to enter a career or to continue education. Essential Functions

Teaching responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Teaching the year-long sequence in general chemistry for majors and general, organic, and biochemistry for allied health students. All courses taught will include both lecture and lab and may be during the day or evening.
  • Responsibilities will also include participating in the governance and committee work of the Department, College, and University, and ongoing professional development in the discipline of chemistry, chemical education, and/or the scholarship of teaching and learning.
Minimum Requirements

Prior to the effective date of the appointment: A Ph.D. in Chemistry or related field and one academic year of college-level teaching experience in chemistry or related field.
