Job Details
The department of Cancer Center Administration is seeking a Database Analyst II. This individual participates in the development, implementation, and maintenance of software applications and databases using various relational databases, client/server, and object-oriented tools and programming languages. You will use various applications to maintain and update large databases, reviews database designs, and ensures consistency of standards, procedures, and content. Assembles, manipulates, analyzes, and disseminates data. The DB Analyst II will plan and coordinate database design and development to ensure the development of an accurate clinical database.
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate database design, development, implementation, maintenance, and user support of clinical research systems
- Program, test, and document databases in accordance with programming standards and validation procedures
- Collaborate with the Clinical Research Informatics team and Other Clinical Research staff in the ongoing maintenance and updates to the databases and corresponding documentation
- Collaborate with business users in developing, implementing, testing and evaluating new technologies and upgrades to technologies
- Develop, revise, and maintain core operating procedures and working instructions
- Meet milestones as assigned, and interact with project teams to organize timelines, responsibilities, and deliverables
- Take ownership of any problems and work collaboratively with other teams for problem resolution
- Prioritize based on project deadlines and deliver tasks within the deadlines
- Performs other related duties as assigned or directed to meet the goals and objectives of the department
- Develop reports using the standard tools and validate them to meet up to the user specifications
- Maintains regular and predictable attendance
