As a maintenance mechanic professional, we recognize how valuable you are to organizational operations because you are ensuring the safety of all those inside our buildings, every day!Various equipment, from plumbing fixtures to heating ventilators, must be maintained by an expert, like yourself, to ensure industry standards are met and work according to their specific tasks; this includes doing routine maintenance.Come join our facilities maintenance and operation team and be a part of our misison!
Responsibilities
Under the supervision of an FOM Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Mechanic has the following main responsibilites:
- Maintains, inspects and repairs chilled water, high pressure steam, domestic and heating hot water and medical gas systems, glassware washers, kitchen equipment, and other mechanical equipment/systems such as pumps, motors, gearboxes, variable frequency drives, fans, air handling units, air compressors, etc.
- May lead, train and assist Maintenance Helpers.
- May include operation and maintenance of the hospital's medical infectious waste incinerator, deionized and RO water systems and pneumatic tube systems
- Making up equipment electrical connections
- Minor locksmithing, welding and fabrication of metal components, changing light bulbs and fluorescent tubes, and other duties required to achieve the department's mission.
