Overview

The rapidly expanding Hospitalist Medicine Program at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is seeking a Pediatrician/Pediatric Hospitalist to join our team as a Nocturnist/Partial Nocturnist.  Our Hospitalist Program is set in a world-class medical environment and allows for hands-on patient experiences covering a full range of hematologic and oncologic diagnoses. St. Jude is consistently ranked on Fortune Magazine’s “100 Best Places to Work” and was No. 9 on the 2018 Glassdoor “Best Place to Work” list for companies with 1,000 or more employees.

We are recruiting highly motivated individuals who enjoy both inpatient and urgent care practice to join our program. The Hospitalist Medicine Program includes approximately 15 physicians and 10 advanced practice providers, many of whom are board certified in pediatric hematology/oncology. In the (partial) nocturnist role, you will treat patients on the inpatient units and in our on-site outpatient acute care clinic. We offer a flexible schedule with approximately 12 shifts per month (shifts are 10-12.5 hours).

As an integral member of the hospitalist team, you will work with nursing staff, advanced practice practitioners, hospitalist colleagues, primary oncologists, and subspecialty physicians to ensure quality clinical care for St. Jude patients. Night coverage includes multiple hospitalist providers with Pediatric Intensive Care support also available in-house 24/7. Top subspecialty and surgical support are available on home call each evening. Members of the Hospitalist Program are active in medical education, quality and patient safety initiatives, clinical education of trainees, and clinical research.
