Position Summary:Prairie State College seeks experienced adjunct faculty to teach physical education courses offered Spring 2023 with continued opportunities throughout the year.
Anticipated courses:
PES-230 Nutrition for Sports and ExercisePES-220 Fitness AssessmentPES-235 Athletic Training Technique
PES-255 Special Populations
A minimum of a 18 hours of graduate credits or higher from an accredited institution in fitness and exercise or a related discipline. A minimum of 5 years of relevant and related full-time non-teaching work experience in a related field.
Demonstrated commitment to teaching and learning.Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills.Proficient with basic computer skills.
Certification in one of the following: ACSM, NSCA, or NASM.

Organization
Prairie State College is a richly diverse community college located 30 minutes south of Chicago. The College serves over 5,000 students through its credit programs and offers a wide range of associate degrees and certificates, all of which feature student-centered instruction. In addition, the College offers workforce education, ESL and GED programs, and continuing, corporate and professional education.
